All in all, the dog was phenomenally well trained. It was a golden retriever (at least, he was pretty sure), tongue lolling out of the side of it's- her, mouth. Apparently, her name was Echo. Satoru had spent the past two minutes on his couch staring at the dog as she stared right back. "You," he said after a moment, the dog padding over to flop her head onto his leg. The bushy golden tail gave a hopeful wag as he placed a hand over her ear to give it a skritch. "Are going to complicate things..."
He had no idea what Keith's apartment's policy was on animals, but most restrictions were that the creatures had to be small. Echo was a year and a half old, and fairly large. He sincerely doubted she'd be allowed there, so it looked like for the moment Keith would have to swing by Satoru's house...
Joy of joys.
It wasn't that he didn't want Keith over, it was just that... His place wasn't like Keith's, and it didn't feel as lived-in. It was comfortable but impersonal. And now, Satoru had a dog. Life just got weirder and weirder.

Keith was honestly a little curious bout checking out Satoru's place. They had always gone to his apartment, but other than the fact that all of Gabe's stuff was there he never got why. A house wouldn't be as cramped and small as his pathetic little apartment.
Well, looked like he was going to see it finally, along with a new dog? That was definitely the unexpected part.
He found himself at the address given to him and knocked on the door, time to see what all this was about.

Satoru watched as Echo jolted, darting over to the door to investigate and giving a few quick yaps. Hopefully Keith hadn't brought Gabe, or if he had, the kid wasn't already asleep. Echo was going to wake the kid up pretty quick. The gunslinger got up and went over to the door, Echo's nails tapping on the tile just in front of the entrance as she backed up and away to let him have some room.
Three of the six locks clacked aside and Satoru opened the door. "Hey," he greeted simply to Keith.

Thankfully Gabe was spending some time with his Aunt Julie today, he'd bring him over next time. "Hey," he replied before stepping in and looking around for the dog. It wasn't a long search at all, the golden retriever had walked its way over to Keith and started to sniff him. The tatted man smiled and bent down to pet her. "Well hey there." He said before looking over at Toru. "What's it's name?" Seemed like a sweet dog, probably wouldn't have any problems around Gabe.

"Her name's Echo, I didn't get to pick it." She'd come with the name, though he'd expected a service dog to be... more... serious. Or older. A year and a half was basically grown for dogs, but it still seemed pretty young. Still, she was old enough he expected the name would be difficult to change.
The pup sniffled and snuffled at the new person, then sniffed and snuffed at Satoru as if checking something, only then did she give Keith a friendly lick to the hand.
'Weird,' was Satoru's only thought.

Keith nodded and turned back to Echo, giving her a scratch behind the ear as she licked his other hand. "You're a good girl, aren't ya Echo?" He smiled and glance at the look on Satoru's face. He gave a laugh before standing back up to his feet and faced the smaller Tora. "You've never been around a dog like this, have you?" He asked with a grin. It was funny, to say the least. Seeing how Toru dealt with Echo was going to be entertaining.

"Not really," he said, looking down at Echo as she trotted back over to his side and sat, tongue lolling and tail wagging happily. "The dogs we had in New Tokyo were bigger and meaner..." And usually some sort of pitbull or rottweiler, or any other dog that could be made to fight. Really any dog could be made to fight, but the meaner they looked the better. And Satoru had always known to stay far away from them, it wasn't out of fear, he knew the ones in his own gang well enough to need not be afraid of them, but it was just a matter of not getting bitten at.

Keith gave a nod at that. "Riiiiight, we're gonna have to work on your awkwardness with her then." But later, Echo seemed pleased enough to where that wasn't an issue at the moment. He slung an arm around Satoru and looked around again. "So you gonna give me the grand tour? I'm curious to see the bedroom." He added on with a smirk. It was more of a joke, for now at least. After all, they'd practically done it everywhere else except for here. Now THAT was weird.

Satoru raised a brow. "This isn't awkward, she's a dog not a human..." Honestly he didn't understand what Keith meant with that comment. How was he supposed to act around a dog? He was acting like he usually did.
Well whatever, Keith wanted the grand tour? He'd get at least a little of it. "Bedroom I can manage for you," and as much as he loved how warm Keith's bed was, there was something to be said for splurging on a ridiculously comfortable bed of his own. It had been one of the first things he'd purchased when he got the range running well, and it was indeed ridiculously comfortable.

"Perfect." Keith said. "Lead the way." He wondered for a second what they'd be able to do with Echo around. Having his… personal time with Satoru get cut short by a dog wasn't really something on his To-Do list. Maybe she had a cage? Or maybe she'd be fine around the house with the bedroom door closed? She seemed well trained.
Well, he'd just have to figure that out, now wouldn't he?

Satoru smiled, taking the lead through the room and up the stairs, Echo trotting dutifully after and keeping her nose just abreast of Satoru's feet. He opened the door to the bedroom without a hitch or hesitation, having noted to himself that no, he did not need to clear the room, it had been cleared earlier and he didn't want to look like a goddamn psychopath to Keith.
Echo, however, darted in first thing, completing a circuit through the room before giving a bark and trotting back over to the bewildered Satoru who still stood in the doorframe.

Keith laughed at little at Satoru as Echo did her thing around the room. "You alright there?" he asked, raising a brow as he looked down at him. He pressed a kiss to Toru's forehead and pulled him into the room with him. Yep, Keith already knew this was his favorite room in the house, no doubt on that one.

Satoru let himself get pulled in, Echo cocking her head at the motion. "Dog's just weird," Satoru said, shaking his head. That was all he really had to say, because right now he was focused on Keith and the bed and yes, he definitely wanted to christen the bed properly. And then probably every other surface in the house, just for propriety's sake.
Echo's tail lowered as she watched.

Keith chuckled at that and continued to pull Satoru towards the bed. The younger man let himself fall into it, and almost looked surprised. Holy shit this bed was comfy, why had Toru kept this to himself all this time?! "Should have invited me over here sooner, this is way better than my bed." He told him as he pulled the other man with him. Seriously, he definitely wanted to spend more time here now.

Satoru smiled as he was pulled down. "Sort of figured that you'd rather keep Gabe around than worry about the bed." He said, leaning in for a kiss now that he was on the plush bed.
Echo's ears hiked up, as did her hackles, a low growl starting up. The newer human was pulling and tugging at her human, pulling/tugging/hurting??? Not on her watch!
