Three teens were walking in what seemed to be in the direction of the amusement park. There was a redheaded girl that walked with her arms crossed over her chest, and beside her was a boy of about the same age with unusual purple hair and a black cap on his head. He seemed to be in a better mood than the girl beside him, but he was still confused as to where they were going. He looked to the girl ahead of them, she was obviously older than them by a couple of years and had short, messy blond hair.
"Hey Eva?" He asked. "Why exactly are we going with you this time? Normally you go with my brother and Ez."
Eva was about to speak before the redhead started first. "It happened again last night, huh?" What came out as a question in all actuality wasn't. She'd heard the yelling between the blonde and her boyfriend, and she also knew what happened after.
The older girl in question would have had to say something if they hadn't gotten to the range already, thank god. Eva ran up to the doors and came inside. "Anyone alive?" She called, looking around for the only person outside of the gang she actually trusted. She knew Satoru better than anyone else in the gang, and she couldn't help but be thankful that her bruises were under her sleeves instead of the black eye she'd had last time she was here.

Satoru was presently the only person at the range. The place had only just recently opened, but today he'd kept it mostly closed to the public. Even his two new recruits were out of the range for the day. He'd just be dealing with the... kids.
Because really, he knew that they were only kids.
And sure enough, there was Eva, and thankfully less obviously injured this time. Though he was certain that other injuries were simply hidden. "You're late," he said, limping out of the shadowed hall and into the main room with a scowl on his face.

Eva gave an uneasy laugh and rubbed the back of her neck. "Ran into some problems with the others…" Yusuke and Hotaru had had yet another fight (unknown to Greg and the others) about who would be joining Eva this time around. Hotaru had told her plenty of times that the guy kept her on a leash, she didn't see it that way though…
"We're here, aren't we?" The redhead said as she came in behind Eva. She'd met Satoru a time or two, but she wouldn't call herself his biggest fan. "It was either this or being on time with the two meat heads instead." Not that she didn't like Ezra, but being friends with Yusuke didn't exactly make her opinion of him very high to begin with.
Greg just sighed and decided not to say anything. Satoru could be scary, and he'd be damned if he tried pressing his buttons any.

"It's better without the idiots," he admitted blandly. "But the Swede isn't in today, you're not going to be learning much hand-to-hand, Red." He had taken note of her and Eva's fighting preferences. Eva would do whatever it took to win, Satoru was certain of that much, but Hotaru wasn't a fan of guns. "You might just have to learn to shoot."
As for Greg... He couldn't say he knew too much about the boy. Not enough time around him, not that Satoru wanted to spend so much around the gang. It hit too close to home to do more than just help them from dying, felt too much like when he'd talk to Ryota...

Hotaru rolled her eyes at that. Great, just great. She didn't mind taking time out of her day to come her with Eva and giving her some breathing space from Yusuke, but she just didn't like the feel of guns. Did they make things easier? Yeah, of course, it just wasn't a concept she was used to.
Oh well, it wouldn't kill her to learn how at least. "Fine, sure." She said reluctantly.
Greg glanced at his friends before looking at Satoru. "Uh, could I learn too?" He asked, sounding a little unsure. He wasn't the best fighter, not by a long shot. In fact all he was good for in the gang was that he was quick, and quiet, and could rob people blind. He was pretty much useless in an actual fight, and he wanted to fix that if he could.

"That's why you're here, isn't it?" Satoru asked the boy dryly. Greg, he was pretty sure was the kid's name. "To learn how to not fuck up pulling a trigger?" It was harder than that, really. Shooting was simple but difficult if you wanted to do it right. 'Point and pull trigger' didn't work out so well as one would expect without knowing the hows and the whats and the little things that went into it.
"Well come on then," he said, turning to lead them more into the range. "Waiting around here does fuck-all and the quicker you all learn to not die the better off you'll be."

Greg nodded quickly and followed along with Hotaru and Eva. The oldest of the three looked back and forth between her friends and nudged them a bit. "Come on you two, lighten up. 'Toru's not so bad when ya get to know him." She grinned. Really, between Hotaru's reluctance and Greg's nerves this was going to be a long day if they didn't relax a little.
Hotaru just gave Eva a look. "'Toru'?" She asked.
The blond shrugged, still grinning. "Yeah, he doesn't mind the nickname, do ya?" She asked, turning to Satoru. She wasn't really sure if they could be considered friends at the moment, but she sure thought of it that way.

"Fuck off," he said dryly, shoving open the door to get access to the actual range itself. Really as long as they didn't go spreading it around he didn't mind so much, but it was overly friendly for business... And this was mostly business. He liked Eva well enough, and he had an internal need to have the kid be able to defend herself from her abuser (who he had pegged from the first sight of him, he knew the calling cards of sadism and abuse like the back of his hand), and the rest from the other much more well-armed gangs within the city.
It was a vested interest, he justified to himself. If they were indebted and survived then he'd be able to enter proper weapons contracts with them in the future at a fantastic benefit to himself...
Unfortunately he knew he was lying.
"Grab a gun," he said as they made it in. He had set up targets earlier, and some extras thanks to the spare time from the trio being late as hell.

The three did as they were told, picking up a gun for themselves. The two younger ones seemed a little on the stiff side as they held their guns, but Eva had come around long enough to where this was all normal for her.
Greg blinked and stared down at his gun and looked over at Hotaru, who just shrugged at him. He then realized that neither of them were really sure on what to do, and he knew the redhead wouldn't be asking any time soon.
Eva glanced at them and just laughed quietly to herself. She gave them a nod to gesture to them to stand somewhere along the lines of where she was currently standing at and turned to Satoru. "So same as usual, right?"

Satoru nodded. "More or less, starting out with the stationary targets for the new meat," he called out in answer. "After that, basically like normal." What could he say? There was a steep learning curve in his range, he had very little patience for idiots. Those who couldn't figure out what they were doing would probably come back actually looking for a real lesson, which were more expensive...
Not like that would be the case here, no payment from gutter kids, but it was the principle of the thing.
He clicked a button and a few targets unfurled. "Go."

Hotaru, Eva, and Greg all took their shots at the targets. Eva's, while not one hundred percent accurate, was still significantly better than her friends(with good reason of course, in the short time this place had been open it had quickly become a safe haven for her, thus her visits were often).
Greg frowned at how poorly he was doing. Yeah, he figured he would suck at first, but this was just terrible, he didn't hit the target at all. Hotaru was doing about as bad as the violet haired teen, though the look on her face was a weird mix of disappointment and annoyance.

Satoru clicked the button again and the first targets dropped. "Again!" He called, clicking again for the second stationary targets. "Keep your feet apart, aim with the front sights!" While they were here, he might as well be about as helpful as one single teacher could be. He always made Yusuke and Ezra sit it out, not trusting either knucklehead with a gun was probably for the best... But these two additions could learn, he liked them well enough to not want them dead.

Greg quickly moved his feet apart as instructed, apparently he had been the only one of the three that hadn't done so already, and took aim again. Their shots were slowly getting better, and hell, Eva could have sworn she'd hit a bullseye. Greg could see his own shots getting better, but not as much as he would have liked, and it was getting a little irritating. As for Hotaru, well for not liking guns she wasn't doing a god awful job, but the girl still had a long ways to go, not that she would have much interest in it anyway.
In short, there was no doubt the blond had the most potential out of the trio.

Satoru watched critically as they obeyed the order, at least the kids had enough sense to take advice when it was given... Or barked at them. "Arms up!" He yelled, "crush it in your hands, don't hold it like it's something weak and delicate!" Eva'd already had all this yelled at her. He clicked the button again and the three targets began moving. Level up.

Hotaru hesitated a little once the targets started to move, wasn't this a little TOO hard for beginners like Greg and herself?! If her shots weren't total shit before, they certainly were now, and Satoru's yelling REALLY wasn't helping all that much either. After a while longer of tolerating it she finally just stopped. Like hell she was going to keep doing this if THIS was how it was going to be.
