Julie giggled a little and pushed her hair out of her face. At least Mina was fun, it would be easier to learn this way she thought. "Okay then, legs apart." She said, more to herself as she moved her feet to about the distance she had been told. "Balls of the feet, and arms…" She continued, looking back up at Mina for approval once she was satisfied.

Mina stepped forward and adjusted Julie's elbows, fingers lingering just a touch longer that they needed to. "Riiight like that," she said. "That's your 'ready' stance, if you're guarding you bring them up to your head like this," she brought her fists up to rest against her head, which bowed just a bit to keep her face away from any direct sort of attack. "Keeps you from getting hit by your own fists if your arms get hit, an' it guards pretty damn well."
She dropped her arms. "Try it, I'll correct it."

Julie had to bite her lip a little to keep from making any stupid expression as Mina fixed her elbows. She's just trying to help you stupid, no reason getting all excited! Just listen to her, focus on what she's telling you. Though… she wouldn't really mind the touch again, she thought as she continued to listen to Mina. With this in mind Julie brought her fists up similar to how Mina had just shown her, but not exactly like it with the hopes of the other woman correcting her again. It wasn't terribly obvious(she hoped).
"Um…?" She muttered, blushing just a little more with the hopes of not looking incredibly stupid.

Mina smiled a little. "Close," she said, moving forward to place the fists properly above eye-level. "Too low and you'll wind up giving yourself a black eye. Getting bapped in the forehead's not all that fun either, but you'll still be able to see." Her touch lingered again as she took advantage of the closeness to take a good look at the other Tora.
Ooooh gosh she was really pretty. Like, really pretty. Eyes especially.
Mina took her hands back and stepped away. "Remember that." She said, gesturing to the position of the hands. A touch here and there might be okay but there was NO WAY she was gonna accidentally scare off a gal by getting kinda creepy. As much as she wanted to tell the woman she had lovely eyes and a great complexion (and her lip holy hell her LIPS looked so SOFT--) that was nowhere NEAR professional. She was teaching Julie to DEFEND against creeps in a safe environment, not with hands-on creeper experience.

"Right... okay I got it." Julie mumbled, kicking herself mentally as she felt her cheeks warm up even more. Oh god her blush was probably REALLY visible now, but Mina had been right THERE and looking right at her and their eyes and--
Dammit dammit dammit pull yourself together girl! "So, uh, what next?" She asked, hoping that getting on with things would get her mind off of it. Really, with her luck Mina probably wouldn't be into her anyway.

Okay, this was probably a bad idea, but if anything was going to happen, someone needed to take the chance. "...Well, I was gonna say 'pinpointing weak-spots,' bur now I just really wanna tell you how cute you are." She said with a laugh, rubbing the back of her head.

Julie blinked and her arms fell. "Wh-wha?" She stuttered, bringing a hand up to her mouth to try and hide the stupid grin that was no doubt forming from the compliment. She- she really thought she was cute? Seriously?!

Oh man, oh man so she hadn't been crazy and imagined that she'd said that. Now just what should she say back? Gah, she didn't have time to think too much on it, couldn't keep the other Tora hanging like that!
Julie moved her hair away from her mouth and messed with her hair a bit with a giggle. "You're pretty cute yourself." She settled for saying, trying to be as smooth as she could. The girl wasn't exactly blessed with her brother's ability to win over practically anyone he wanted, but hopefully she could do something.

Mina's blush's intensity skyrocketed. No one called her cute. Like... Ever. Ooooh yep there came the butterflies in her stomach. Yep yep yep, that was actually something that happened ooooh boy. "I-- ah..." She replied, twisting a stray strand of hair nervously. Where the hell had nervous come from? Did that come with reciprocation? Shit she did NOT think this through.
"D'ya wanna maybe just hang around and talk for a while and then maybe practice this shit later or, ah..?" She averted her eyes and moved her hand to rub the back of her neck, rocking back on her heels as she did so. "I mean there's drinks... and I can get us some snacks or something... If ya want."

Julie's smile grew slowly. Mina was nervous… had SHE done that? The blue eyed Tora couldn't help but feel a little proud at that, was it really this easy? Whether it was or not, it was certainly a confidence boost and quickly Julietta beam and nodded. "Yeah, that sounds great!" She replied enthusiastically. There was still a blush along her face that she was pretty sure wouldn't go away for a while at least, but she didn't mind nearly as much now.

Mina's grin returned with a vengeance, "Cool! Great!" She exclaimed before deciding to at least TRY and curb her enthusiasm, no need to lay it on thick that was DEFINITELY NOT COOL and yeah. Then again, it wasn't like the Tora was exactly cool to begin with. Still... No need to do more damage than she was bound to do by her own nerdy means.
She darted over to the mini fridge and opened it, only to realize that there was only water in there. It was a training room after all, and both she and Egil had hated sports-drinks. "...We got water, H2O, and more water," she announced, turning to look at Julie. "But there's a drink machine and a snack machine out there," She gestured to hall.
"If you want I can grab us some soda or something, and Egil made food so that's way better than machine-snacks if you'd like them... Uhhh..." She fidgeted a little. Okay, flirting was more well-trod ground than actually DOING things. That was probably where the nervousness was spreading from.

Julie just giggled at Mina's fidgeting. "I'm good with anything, really." Mina was the one that worked here, she had more of a choice than Julie did of what went on.

"Alright then," she said holding up her pointer fingers. "Wait just one sec I'll be right back with Swedish pastries."
And with that, Mina bolted out of the room. Finding the snacks wasn't that hard, though she'd probably have to come up with one hell of a good excuse for Satoru. The bastard had a sweet tooth he'd never admit to, and she was being more daring by taking ALL the snacks. Oh well, he couldn't get that mad at her, right?
Right.
She was back quick as a flash, tray of delectable treats in hand as she shut and locked the door. This would be the first place Satoru would go if he decided the treats were worth trying to deal with her for. Tough luck for the gimpy Tora, she supposed. "Mind making do with water?" Honestly, getting soda right now would be a little more risky than she'd like to admit.

Julie sat on the floor as she waited on Mina's return, smiling brighter at the other woman's return. She nodded. "Sure, works for me." She got up to grab the water herself, heading to the mini fridge and taking two water bottles out for them. She sat back down and pat the spot next to her. Whatever Mina had on that tray, it looked really good.
