Satoru holstered his gun as Gabe dropped to the floor and he wheeled himself over, settling a hand gently against Gabe's back. Too much pressure would set him off again, but there was no way Gabe was in any condition to surround himself with the root of his issues right now... As much as Satoru NEEDED Gabe to be safe, this... was a bad idea.
Hand to hand he could see happening under Egil or Eva's tutelage, but this... this he'd have to hold out on for a little while longer. "We're going home." He said, voice softer than it had been in years.

Gabe flinched as he felt Toru's hand on his back. This wasn't FAIR, he was doing this for a reason dammit! "I can't do anything…" He said, voice wavering. He had been in the hospital TWICE now because he couldn't look after himself properly, and while he wouldn't say it out loud he was scared, because what if it happened again? What if he was jumped or attacked again and he still couldn't defend himself? What were the odds of him getting lucky and making it OUT next time?! The first time had just been embarrassing, but the second… he had been downright terrified. "I gotta… I gotta do something..."

"You'll get help," Satoru said. "And Egil will teach you how to fight better, but for now guns aren't exactly a brilliant idea. You're smart, Gabe, you know that." Somewhere in there Gabe's head was surely still working. He had to realize this wasn't a good idea, being around so many guns going off...

That was the problem, Gabe thought. He DID know that and that was what pissed him off so much. He hated how badly this was getting to him, he tried to ignore it as much as he could, but he couldn't shake it off no matter how hard he tried. He was supposed to be stronger than this, he wasn't a little boy anymore.
Still, as much as he hated it there wasn't anything he could do. "…Okay." He finally managed to say. The blond had never sounded so defeated, and he'd never felt so worthless.

Satoru offered the downed teen a hand up, not that it would do much, there wasn't too much difference between their heights right now... "We'll go home," he said again, fully intending to call around and see if there were any good therapists in the area. Gabe needed one, he refused to let the Kuma go through what he had, and he was pissed at himself for thinking it might be a good idea in the first place...

Gabe went to get up on his own, grabbing the pistol he had dropped along with the muffs that had fallen off his head. As much as he appreciated Satoru's gesture, it wasn't like it would help get the taller male to his feet. The blond nodded a little to his stepdad, he wasn't up for talking at the moment. With any luck he would be able to get some sleep when they got home. He didn't even wanna try thinking about how worried his dad was going to be when he found out about it, he actually wondered if Satoru could keep this whole thing between them. Doubtful, very doubtful, but he could hope.

The return trip home was, thankfully, uneventful. Satoru wasn't sure he could have handled more events if he had tried, the past few weeks had been (in short) a clusterfuck of activity and Gabe wasn't the only one running low on sleep. Satoru could go longer, sure, he had adapted. That didn't mean it didn't take its toll. And being stuck on a couch wasn't helping either, him having forgone Keith's help for getting up the stairs to their proper bedroom.
They made it home... Honestly Satoru wasn't certain if he'd have to call Keith or if the other ex-Tora would be home by now...

The two returned home and Gabe immediately went upstairs to head to his room, the blond was so worn out right then that he almost just gave in and passed out on the staircase. He didn't, however, and actually ran into his dad.
Keith blinked and caught his son before they ended up bumping into each other. He'd been home for a few minutes and hadn't expected anyone else to get home for a while, weren't Gabe and Toru suppose to be at the range? "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked as he caught a look at his son's face. Tired, but that wasn't surprising with his lack of sleep. There was something else though, he was upset about something.
The blond shook his head just a little. "'m tired." He mumbled out before moving passed him and going to his room.
The inked man frowned, but went on his way downstairs and saw Satoru. They… hadn't spent as much time together as Keith would have liked recently, the smaller man wouldn't even let him help him to their bed at night either. He didn't like it, he felt lonely, but he hadn't said anything about it. "Did something happen?" He asked, concerned.

Satoru had wheeled himself into the house without too much difficulty and had settled into the living room to think...
Though, true to form, it wasn't long after an incident before Keith appeared, and here he was. Satoru leaned back into the wheelchair and sighed. How the hell to go about with this one... "Yeah," he decided to start with. Gabe was in his room, judging from the sound the door had made. It would be alright to discuss it with Keith, the younger man deserved to know what had happened to his son. "Gabe had a panic attack at the range."

Keith's eyes widened. "It was the guns, wasn't it?" It had to have been, after everything that had happened. Since Mina had brought up the possibility of Gabe having PTSD at the hospital Keith had tried doing some research on it just to be safe, so he KNEW that had to have been it. The younger of the ex-Toras grabbed at his hair. "I knew this was a bad idea…" Getting Gabe back into firearms so soon? They should have just told him to wait in the first place.

Satoru just nodded, because both were true. It WAS the guns and it HAD BEEN a bad idea... "We need to get him help," he said after another moment, because as much as he hated the idea, there just wasn't enough they could do for Gabe on their own. A therapist was needed, and the gunslinger knew Keith knew it too. Why then, he wondered, had they both been avoiding the thought? Maybe they had been convinced they'd be able to handle whatever came up, or that it couldn't be as bad as they feared.
Oooh boy had they been wrong on that one.

"You know he's not gonna want to." Keith said. It was true, Gabe was almost as bad as Satoru when it came to accepting help, the two were more alike than they probably realized.
Still, the gunslinger was right, they had to do something about this. He sat down on the couch and sighed. "We'll talk to him about it, convince him somehow."

"Of course he won't want to," Satoru grumbled under his breath, wheeling over to the couch... He wanted to sit next to Keith, lean on him... It'd been a while since he'd been able to do that, touch was more comforting than he'd like to admit and he missed it. He also knew that getting from his wheelchair to the couch without hitting the floor was a skill he hadn't quite mastered, and he loathed to make a fool out of himself in his own home, especially after everything else that'd happened today. "But yeah, we will..." He held back a yawn as best he could, though his words dripped with fatigue.

Keith frowned, noting how tired his husband sounded. The inked man reached for his hand. "What do ya say about coming to bed tonight?" He tried. They would deal with Gabe later, but the blond wasn't the only one refusing help lately. He missed getting to be with Satoru like they use to. Sure, things were going to be different now with the wheelchair, but this? Keith hated sleeping in that bed by himself, it was cold and lonely and he was sure the other man felt the same being on the couch. "If Gabe's gonna learn to accept help, then you're gonna have to do the same."

Fingers fumbled to clutch at the younger man's hand as Satoru reveled in the warmth from Keith. The couch was cold and lonely, but at least he didn't need help to get to it. That had been his reasoning... Honestly he wasn't sure that it was worth the independence anymore, he missed Keith. Satoru took a breath and squeezed his husband's hand before giving a nod. Yeah... okay... Help. He could accept help. For this little thing, he could accept help.
