Fei had spent the majority of her week in the same position, wrapped up in a blanket burrito, watching lame sitcoms with her trusty teddy bear by her side. He'd been the only one she had been willing to talk to since her less than cheerful conversation with Gabe. Her parents had tried to break into her cocoon of isolation awhile ago (whether to simply check on her or tell her she needed to go back to school, she wasn't sure) but they had since learned that nothing conducive would come of it.
God, she hated moping like this. But what else was she supposed to do? She barely had the energy to drag her butt out of bed, much less party. No, she would just stay here, watching re-runs and drinking whatever she had managed to steal from her dad's liquor cabinet.

Sora didn't bother knocking on Fei's door. He knew from trying a few days ago it wouldn't do anything. Papa had told him to give her a little time, because she was hurting and needed to heal, but Sora... well, this was a little much, he thought. And Fei did her best around other people, so maybe this would work better. He knew Papa and Dad cared about them both, but... well, they knew when they couldn't help.
So, that left taking care of his sister up to him.
"Fei," he said, scooting into her personal space bubble and headbutting her gently. "Feeeeiiiii..." he dragged out her name.

Fei gently pushed her brother's face away from her own. "I don't remember telling you to come in," she grumbled. However, her tone was not without affection. She couldn't actually be upset with him, no matter how she tired. Nor could she resist smiling now that he was in the room. "I'll have you know that I am doing very important stuff in here," the elder sibling told him, a lopsided grin sneaking its way across her lips.

"Oh yeah," he said with a grin. "Enrique's gonna propose to Andrea but she's gonna accidentally swallow the ring he put in her food, very important." There, spoilers, now the episode was less important. "But I think it'll resolve itself without your expert guidance, and I need to talk to ya anyway." His sister might not want to talk about it with anyone else, but they had shared secrets with each other since they were little and he'd be damned if he let her flounder on her own.

Fei tossed the nearest pillow at her brother for his prior comment. However, once the latter part sank in, she simply hid herself among her blankets. "I don't want to talk about it, Sora. What's done is done." Her tone didn't exactly match the confidence of her word choice. Neither did the redness of her eyes, or the dark circles forming beneath them.

Sora scooted closer after he took a pillow to the case. A worthwhile injury for the justice he needed to dispense. "Fei," he started again, voice brimming with concern. "I don't think it matters that you don't want to talk about it, I think you need to." He frowned and wriggled to snuggle his sister. Sora was a cuddler, and right now Fei probably needed a good cuddle. "C'mon... you've been in here for a week and I got WORRIED..." And Sora... usually knew his sister would be alright ans didn't worry. But this was atypical Fei behavior. This was worrisome.

"What's talking about it going to do anyways?" Fei grumbled. She glanced over at her brother, her grumpy expression softening a bit. "Fine," she sighed. She waved at Sora, gestured for him to continue. "Talk away."

Good, she hadn't shot him down, so far he was counting this as a win. "What happened?" He asked, settling in for a long talk. "Was it school? It's not Dad and Papa is it? Was it Gabe?" If it was Gabe, if the blond giant had done something to make his big sister upset Sora was going to mess him up SO BADLY...

"Woah, slow down." Fei struggled to keep her smile intact, but she couldn't stop it from wavering. "It was him. It was me. It was both of us really." She rolled onto her back, pressing her palms against her eyes. "We both wanted something we couldn't give so I called it off. And he didn't stop me." Saying it out loud hurt a lot more than she thought it would. Whoever said that talking about your problems was a good thing had clearly been mistaken.

Sora was quiet for a second as he processed what she said. There was a lot he could say, comfort and sympathy but... Man, he couldn't just... He couldn't understand why she didn't want to date. It was her choice, sure, but Sora would kill for anyone to be interested in him like Gabe was in her. "Why don't you want to date him, I thought you really liked him?"

"Because I don't date.I've never liked dating, Sora, you know that. " Fei stated this as if it was the most obvious thing in the universe. "It's pointless and stupid and it just makes people hate each other." Relationships only ended in one of a limited number of ways- that being marriage, breaking up, or death. In the case of the latter two, it meant someone wound up getting hurt and left behind. Neither were something Fei was a fan of.

"Would it hurt worse than this?" He said, voice worried. "Fei, just because you're not dating doesn't mean you don't really like him, you wanna be around 'im or else it wouldn't hurt this bad that you gotta stay locked up in here..." The blond was frowning with concern and a little bit of sadness. "It doesn't matter if you date or not, you still like him and it still hurts to not have him around so why not... why not try?"

Fei scrunched herself into the corner of her bed and buried her head into one of the many pillows. When at last she spoke, her voice was barely more than a hoarse whisper. "Because it's gonna hurt a hundred times worse when he leaves me... So I left him first." He would. She knew he would. Fei knew that deep down she wasn't as amazing as everyone thought she was. Her sparkle didn't go all the way to her core, like her dad's did. She was a writhing cesspool of trauma and confusion. No one wanted to deal with that.

Sora crawled a little closer and hugged her through the pillows and blankets. "Fei... You don't know that..." He tried to soothe, keeping his voice quiet. "Didn't ya mention he helped you with your nightmare..?" Sora knew from experience that that was one of the hardest times to deal with and help Fei, and the Kuma had managed it without breaking stride.

Fei lifted her head from the pillow ever so slightly. "Well, yeah, but..." That had been simple stuff. Nightmares weren't fun, but they weren't overly complex either. "God, I have issue that I can barely identify. I'm really surprised you all put up with my shit, so I can't really expect that of someone I'm not even related to." She let the pillow consume her face with an aggravated sigh. "I'm a mess."
