Desiree gave a weak chuckle. "I'm not gonna waste my breath trying the way I'd wanna fix it." It would include him stopping the 'jobs', which she knew wasn't gonna happen. "I guess for now… for now just see how it goes." She leaned forward and tapped her forehead to his.
"But I know one thing for sure." She started, voice quietly but strong. "If I hear another thing about your involvement with the Kings, I will do something about it." She had to make sure he knew she was serious about this.

Archer's eyebrow rose. "Would it make you feel better if I promised to leave them alone indefinitely? Even if they turn up again." As much as he enjoyed screwing with that family, he would drop it if it meant making things better at home. Besides, he felt like he'd got his fair share of fun with them anyways.

"You broke your last promise, I don't see you keeping this one." She replied coldly. "But if that's what you want, then sure, you promise. Again." Desiree was a lot of things, but she was no push over, not now at least.
"Alright, I don't want to talk about this anymore." She told him simply. "What now?"

Archer shrugged. "I don't remember making an explicit promise for that before... but I will now. I promise not to harm or mess with the King family in any way. If I see them, I'll ignore them and walk away." He promised, taking her hands. "That's the end of that. Now I say we figure out how we're going to fix this rift between us."

Desiree squeezed his hands in hers a little, looking down at them instead of at his face. "Well, I already know what you have in mind." She looked back up at him with the smallest hint of a smirk. "So why don't we get to it?" He made a promise, a REAL promise, and if he screwed it up she was going to do something for sure. For now though, she might as well let it go.

Archer's lips curled up into a grin. "I knew I married you for a reason." He teased, standing up. He let go of her hands and placed his own on her waist. He pulled her up and smiled down at her. "Why don't you take the lead tonight? Do with me what you'd like." he offered. It wasn't something he did often, relinquishing control, so he hoped it would help ease her worries.

Desiree raised a brow at that, well wasn't that a shock? "Well alright then." She said, smirking a little more. She tossed her arms over his shoulders, leaning back enough to fall onto the bed and drag Archer with her. She was… somewhat satisfied with how the argument ended. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it would do for now.
