Jamie blanched. "Now ya really ARE talkin' like me mum..." He said, slightly in awe. "Do ya do th' same things ta Seishy, or am I jus' special?" He teased lightly. They had both met the sparkly Tora's current boyfriend long before they had started dating, so it made sense that Fred wouldn't make Seishy bring in that Kyou kid... but really... he was in his mid-twenties now, he knew how to take care of himself.

"The both of you are particularly special cases," Fred deadpaned. "Although you should feel lucky, Seishiro has both me and Hi as surrogate mothers." Hi certainly had her tough-love moments with the younger Tora; not, of course, that he didn't deserve it. Their relationship was interesting like that. "Anyway, it's not really that I'm concerned about you, I just want to meet him."

Jamie winced at the thought. Poor Seishiro... That had to be hell... "I'll try an' bring him in when I actually manage to start dating him." Jamie replied. "Promise... though it might be a little tricky..." College schedules and all that might conflict with the Allure's hours... Although, there was always meeting up with Freddie OUTSIDE the Allure... Which would probably be considerably easier, he doubted Kaji would be enthusiastic about going to a nightclub with him...

The redhead certainly seemed to have faith in his own abilities to woo his current "love interest." Then again, when was he not? Jamie was just one of those people who oozed self-confidence. It was certainly be interesting if the other man could give him a run for his money. Interesting as well as entertaining.
"You seem pretty certain that you're going to woo him," Fred commented offhandedly. It wasn't that he was disagreeing with the Irishman in any way, he was simply making an observation.

Jamie just smirked a little. "I'm not gonna give up on 'im. And like I said, I think he likes me back already... In his own sarcastic and prickly way..." He chuckled. "He's real cute though... prickly and cute, like a hedgehog." He blinked as a redhead came up to the table and made her a drink before glancing back to Fred. "Don't tell me you're DOUBTING my abilities, Freddy-kins." He teased.

The Brit chuckled. "I'm not doubting you Jamie, just wondering which of the two of you will end up being more stubborn." He turned from the conversation just long enough to serve the group of part patrons who had wandered over from the dance floor.

Jamie rolled his eyes. "ME, a'course." He replied before putting on his winningest smile to help Fred serve the small group. He had found that looking absolutely charming or ravishing both made more tips and more... interesting encounters. Though today he was really only interested in the tips. "Have you EVER seen me give up on something I want?" He asked after the group had returned to the dancefloor.

Fred thought for a moment. "No," he admitted after his pause. "No, I really haven't." Jamie typically got his way with most things. Perhaps it had made him a tad spoiled, but that didn't mean he didn't work for what he had. The Irishman was just extraordinarily persistant. Shamelessly, even.
"Should make things interesting though," the Brit observed. "And besides, it would be no fun for you if there wasn't a challenge."

Jamie laughed. "Oh yeah, I'm lookin' forward to it. 'S been a while since someone gave me a good chase." He preened a little bit under an imaginary spotlight. "Guess I'm just too damn good at what I do..." Actually 'a while' was nearly a year and a half ago now... He wondered if Fred remembered that seemingly out-of-the-blue week-long bout of self-loathing that had happened afterward. Jamie had never gotten dumped before then, he had always made sure that his flings were just that: flings. No strings attached.

Oh, Fred remembered the last time all too well. With Jamie being as dramatic as he was, it was hard not to notice the absolute misery he had pulled himself into. That was a memory that didn't leave somebody easily. The Brit had sympathized with his friend, however. Jamie has seemed pretty broken up about the whole ordeal. Fred just hoped it wouldn't happen again, especially with how much his companion seemed to like this Kaji kid.
"Well aren't you just the most humble person ever?" The tone was annoyed, but the Tora was smiling. "You may be a master if wooing Jamie, but you may need more than that," he advised. "But I'll let you figure that out. 'S more entertaining that way."

Jamie stuck out his tongue childishly at the brunette. "Oh please, don't act like such a master. If it weren't for me you and Hi'd still be tiptoeing around each other." He faked a gag. "You'd be embarrassing me with your lack of romantic skills, I know it."

The Brit rolled his eyes. "That's because I understand boundaries," he scoffed. "And besides, I'm pretty sure that without you Hi would have pushed things forwards anyway." She was a determined one, his girlfriend. Hi was definitely the one in charge of the relationship, which suited Fred just fine. Her head strong personality was just one of the things he loved about her; it fit in perfectly with the Tora's own easygoing nature.

Jamie grinned. "An' that's EXACTLY why I approve a' her." He wiped off the bar for want of something to occupy his idle hands. "Yer bird's got spunk." He chuckled to himself. He liked Hi, he really did. The woman was intelligent and had guts, it seemed. She didn't seem like the type that would just back down if things got tough, and Jamie could respect that.

"Thank you." Fred glanced out onto the dancefloor, noting that a new wave of customers was starting to meander away from the strobe lights and music and towards the bar. Back to work, the Brit suppossed. He turned back to Jamie, wanting to use the last few minutes of relaxation there were. "Well, I wish you luck in your romantic endeavors, my friend. Although with your stubborn streak, luck is hardly necessary."

The redhead gave a shrug to his friend and coworker. "Nah, but it's appreciated all th' same." He winked at Fred before turning his attention to the mass of thirsty, migrating ex-dancers. Time to get to business.
