Satoru frowned as the Ookami stuttered. Typical, he always got the gutless ones. He supposed he would have to fix THAT as well. "If you're gonna stutter then don't bother talking. Follow me, Mina shouldn't have sent you into the range first." He scowled. "If you're gonna shoot a gun, you sure as hell better know how it works." He beckoned Yuki to follow him out of the main indoor range and back into the hall. They'd head into the armory. He'd take the payment for this 'deluxe' package out of Mina's pay. The woman had earned his wrath, and he knew she knew what he would do on account of it and had planned accordingly.
Which really did infuriate him...

Knowing something about the weapon she would be handling DID sound like a good place to start. The Ookami didn't want to accidentally kill someone after all, she was only learning this for worst case scenarios.
Persephone, having a hard time hiding her naturally obnoxious behavior, decided to kill the entire idea of sitting back and shutting up. "Hey, what do you want me to do? I warn you, if you leave me by myself my boredom may just cause the apocalypse ~!"

Satoru glanced back at Persephone. "Then go help Mina at the front desk or something, I really don't give two shits what you do so long as you stay away from the guns. But if you cause any damage you're paying for it." And with that the dark brown haired man exited the range with Yuki. With luck, he'd be freed from Persephone's irksome behavior for a while... But he wasn't a particularly lucky fellow and he wouldn't be surprised if she did follow them...

"Trying to get ride of me I see. Fine. I can tell when I'm unwanted." Persephone turned to go, pausing to offer some "words of wisdom" to her younger companion. "Hey, and don't let him scare you Yuki. I told your brother nothing would happen to you, so unless someone wants to deal with my homicidal rage, you'll be completely fine." She winked quickly before darting around the corner leading back to the waiting area. The Tora head a feeling she would only get in the way; and besides, she could always irk Satoru later.
Yukiko could only sigh. How anyone as awkward and reserved as Kaito could have a friend like this, she had no idea.

Satoru opened the door to the more modest of the ranges' armories and headed over to a small sink to wash his hands before heading over to pluck a handgun off of the rack. "I'm assuming you're going more for self-defense than for a hunting rifle, so we'll be working with more of the handguns than the heavy artillery." It was pretty easy for him to tell what people came into the range for. This girl just screamed 'method of protection' out of every orifice, whether she realized it or not was a different story altogether.

Yukiko nodded, confirming the prior statement and affirming her understanding of the latter. "Right, well..." There was a brief pause. True, it was her brother's idea, but the Ookami felt that sooner or later she would have done something like this of her own initiative eventually anyway. She had too much on her plate to continue on feeling as incapable as she did. "I don't want to be so helpless anymore," she finished. That about summed up her reasoning.

Satoru regarded her with narrowed eyes and then nodded. "Good." At least she was doing something about it, though it was a tad late in Satoru's opinion. Hell, if he had kids he'd teach them to defend themselves as soon as they could walk but he supposed that not everyone had grown up the way he had...
The man limped over to a table and placed his selected gun down on a cleaning cloth that had been spread out over it from earlier. "Alright, get over here, take a seat, and we'll take this thing apart so you know exactly how it works." He refused to teach anyone how to use a gun until they knew what was occurring when it was fired.

Yukiko nodded and made her way over to the table, taking a seat across from the older Tora. She tried not to make notice of his limp, but it was difficult to ignore entirely. The Ookami wondered if he was one of those people always getting into fights, like Persephone or Usagi. But it was a passing thought and she brushed it away abruptly. Other people's lives were none of her business.
