"I am afraid so, tovarishch." The Russian offered him a sad, sympathetic smile. "You do not hide jealousy well." Although she had to admit, it was quite amusing, seeing Karter act so... human over something. Amusing, but also sad. "I'm assuming you think of the girl and Theo as more than friends, judging by your tone," Mikka mused. Was this what the people here referred to as a love triangle? The Ookami really didn't know; all the romantic concepts in this place totally escaped her.

Karter snorted. "I think Theo's the only one that doesn't realize it." Yuki seemed to comprehend it, judging from how she responded to things, and Karter most certainly saw what was evolving... He hated it. He sat amongst the roots of his own tree, maybe two yards from Mikka's own. Enough to where they could talk comfortably but he didn't have to be so close.
"I don't want her gone..." He tried explaining. "She makes Theo happy. I just..." He paused and nearly snarled, taking a visible effort to not cause damage to any innocent flora in the area. "I just wish they didn't... LIKE each other." He supposed that if wishes were horses he'd be eating steak, now would he?

"That would create a problem, wouldn't it? Especially if your Theo doesn't even know you are there." Mikka was empathetic, even if her tone was somewhat teasing. "And you could not scare the girl away, not without ruining his happiness. She sighed in sympathy. "Too bad you don't exist to him, hm?"

Karter didn't trust his voice and simply nodded. He hadn't come right out and talked with anyone about this, as far as he could remember at least... "That's about the size of it." He commented dryly, managing to keep his voice even despite the ache forming in his vocal chords. "And if he finds out..." He trailed off. If Theo found out about Karter, and what he had done... Even if it was for the sake of keeping the gentler side of himself safe Karter knew Theo would never do anything but fear him or see him as a monster.
He supposed that was what he was, wasn't he? A murderous beast that killed if you looked as his fair princess the wrong way.

"People do not make a habit of staying after that." Mikka knew that all to well. It was far easier to play the silent guardian than to flaunt it; the people who needed protecting were generally those who were not exactly okay with murder and/or maiming. Although it was hard to receive affection when in the shadows.
"I am sorry for your pain, Krolik. There is no easy way out of these sorts of things." Mikka shrugged for the umpteenth time. "Although I do suppose you could keep the relationship from progressing if you really wanted to." She cut her gaze across thr clearing to meet Karter's sharply. "There are always ways. It just depends on what you are willing to do."

Karter sighed. "Yes, I could..." And in a way, he was. He was doing everything in his power to keep Theo from realizing how much he actually liked Yuki. Or what anything as to what was happening might mean. A hard job, and only halfway effective, but it wasn't as if he could outright kill the girl...
Well, actually... maybe he could...
"You've got an idea?" He asked, raising a brow.

Mikka bowed her head and closed her eyes, seemingly having some sort of inner-debate. What she had meant was that if Karter decided when he was in control of Theo's body, it wouldn't be difficult to keep "romantic" moments from taking place. There were a multitude of ways in the Russian's mind. But... She didn't think she would tell the Tora much more. Doing so went against Mikka's personal vendetta against those who took advantage of others... Even if she liked Karter.
"I'll just let the concept stew in your head," the white-blonde chirped. "Sadly for you, I have a favoritism to girls like this Yuki. So I shall not give you advice on how to thwart her. Despite my liking of you. Or at least finding you entertaining."

Karter rolled his eyes. If things got too lovey-dovey he'd take over and cut them off... Mikka's favoritism would mean nothing in the end. "Gee, thanks. What a great murder-buddy you are..." He really had no proper term for Mikka. Colleague, maybe...

"Sorry, comrade. I just have a weakness for a sweet face." Mikka raised her hands over her chest with a smirk. "Don't take it personally. And besides," her expression turned teasing, "I'm sure you'll know what to do when the time comes."

Karter rolled his eyes. "Yes, hopefully I'll be able to keep my stabbing-hand at bay." He said sarcastically. Killing Yuki... definitely a bad thing, no matter for what reason. It would just send Theo spiraling into depression if his one constant (that he was aware of) were to disappear or die.

"I should hope so." Mikka took a few steps closer, hands clasped neatly behind her back. "For if you begin murdering over petty jealousy I may just have to kill you myself." In less than a second her serious expression vanished, falling back into its normal smugness. "Well now that we've established all of this, I'd say this conversation is complete. And now I have a fight to attend." She smirked and gave Karter a little wave. "Taake care, little Krolik."
